Development Committee Description
Committee Objectives:
-
To promote and increase PEBA
membership by identifying and contacting both individual and company
prospective members.

To develop ways of making
membership more valuable to our members- by developing partnerships,
increasing our visibility in the Delaware Valley area, and developing means of
assessing member satisfaction and identifying needs
-
To develop marketing plans for
PEBA’s activities that correlate to the needs of our members
-
To develop a comprehensive annual
plan that enables PEBA to attract new and retain existing members through
effective communication and member-focused services
-
To develop outreach strategies to
connect PEBA members to other organizations in our community
-
To evaluate PEBA’s current
marketing and information outreach pieces, and help develop new pieces
-
To evaluate the PEBA brand, logo,
website and promotion materials for appropriateness.
Key
Roles & Responsibilities:
-
Develop a plan that will achieve
growth targets by attracting new member companies and individuals in the
region.

Develop a marketing plan to
support PEBA's membership growth goals and implement chosen strategies,
including communications through the website, advertising, and communication
to membership
-
Implement a strategy for ways to
create deeper connections with existing members
-
Determine appropriate techniques
for contacting prospects- mail campaigns, seminars, etc.

Develop programs involving
current members to help network with prospects.
Time
Commitment
-
This committee meets quarterly to
develop and review strategic plans.
-
There will be work required
outside of committee meetings to contact prospects.
Committee Member Profile: Committee Members should . . .

Possess a good understanding of
the Southeastern PA, Southern NJ and Delaware employer market.

Be interested in learning
networking techniques; sales experience a plus.
-
Be excited about talking to
fellow PEBA members, and discussing the benefits of membership with prospects

Be results oriented.
