Online Learning Committee
Description
Committee Objective:
Develop, plan and deliver a
series of webinars or other online learning tools for PEBA members
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop
relevant, timely program topics that address ongoing members concerns and new
industry developments.
- Assure that
webinars address the broad spectrum of needs of the health & welfare, pension,
compensation, disability, and general HR professional.
- Secure
quality speakers for each session and work with PEBA to identify dates/times
for sessions
- Work with
the PEBA staff to develop appropriate marketing materials and confirm other
logistics.
- Each
committee member will be responsible for coordinating 1-2 online learning
program a year.
Time Commitment
The committee will meet
approximately 4-6 times per year to develop topics, confirm details, and
evaluate progress. Each committee member is expected to coordinate approximately
1-2 online learning sessions per year. All committee members are expected to assist
in the development of topics and securing speakers.

Committee Members should . . .
- Be seasoned
professionals with strong general knowledge of all HR/Provider areas of
expertise are needed
- Have a
network of contacts from which to draw speakers and a willingness to contact
them.
- Be able to
develop program topics and formats on short notice
- Be
comfortable working both on a team and independently.
- Be
comfortable with webinar technology, or be willing to learn.
- Commit to
meeting strict deadlines.
