Creating a Culture of Health in the Workplace
AllOne Health, a company that provides
tools and services to employers and health plans to help individuals take
responsibility for their health, will explain how creating a culture of
health means looking beyond direct medical costs to how a healthier
workforce enhances the bottom line through improved productivity, lower turnover
and reduced recruiting costs. AllOne will discuss proprietary research on how to
engage employees in workplace health. Mark Pauly, Ph.D., professor at the
Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, will outline how organizations
can more accurately and convincingly measure the return on investment for
wellness and health programs.

Taking Responsibility for Your Health
Dr. Bruce Panasuk, MD will share
his insights about the American health care system from his career perspective
as a thoracic surgeon. Dr. Panasuk makes the compelling argument why the current
health care paradigm is self-destructive. His primary message is to sound the
alarm that individuals need to take responsibility for their own health. He has
motivated HR professionals to not only begin wellness programs at their
organizations, but also create "personal wellness programs". Since starting his
provoking message, he has received strong testimonials from participants who
went on to lose weight and stop smoking. The best example is an individual who
lost 80 pounds after listening to Dr. Panasuk.
