Program Details:
This full-day event will be a combination of lecture style learning
and interactive case studies. Participants will learn about the changing
marketplace for benefits, medical insurance, prescription coverage, dental
insurance, vision plans, disability and life insurance options, voluntary
coverage, employee contributions to benefit plans, and legislative
compliance. After learning about these topics, participants will be asked to
put their knowledge into practice. Small groups will be assigned where teams
will be asked to prepare case studies based on real-world examples. For a

Tom Belmont, Jr. was President of Belmont Associates Consultants,
Inc. when he merged his organization with GBS in June 2005. He has over 20
years of experience in employee benefits consulting to the companies in various
industry sectors. Tom has worked extensively with both local and national
organizations in developing strategic benefit initiatives. These initiatives
have led to innovative plan designs, funding arrangements and wellness
strategies that have produced significant savings to his clients.
Tom Belmont currently serves on the Board of Directors of the PEBA, The
Brandywine Wellness Foundation (Vice President) and the Patron’s Foundation
(President).
Jim Kane,
MS, SPHR
Director, Office of Continuing Studies, Villanova University
Jim has over 23 years experience as a human
resource leader with Villanova University, The Children's Hospital of
Philadelphia and Aqua America. Jim is a lead instructor in the SHRM Learning
System at Villanova and has a MS in Human Resource Development from Villanova
University.

Payment must be received prior to admission. No additional
fees to receive continuing education credits.
Materials All attendees will receive a binder with all lecture materials and case
studies, along with a glossary of important employee benefits terms and useful
websites.
Class Size: We can accept a maximum of 50 participants for this
course.
Continuing Education Credits: This program has been approved for 5.5 HRCI General
Credits. Pending Approval of 4 PA CE credits for insurance producers.
