Wellness Programs Include Financial Wellness

Finances are employees' number one cause of stress, which leads to higher health care costs for your company and negatively impacts employee productivity and morale.  For many companies, Employee Financial Wellness is the missing piece to maximizing the effectiveness of existing wellness programs and fully containing health care costs,  not to mention fostering a workforce of healthier, happier and more productive employees who are more engaged and empowered and no longer distracted by financial issues.  This session will explore best practices in financial wellness and practical case study applications within a corporate wellness program.

Wawa Wellness: Soaring to New Heights

Are you Fit to Fly?

Employees who are Fit to Fly are energetic and excited about creating good health and wellness for themselves and their families. They're aiming to play at the top of their game and soar to new heights, not only physically and mentally, but financially, professionally, and socially -- in all aspects of life.  In 2009  Wawa, a northeast convenience retailer,  launched its Fit to Fly wellness program to 18,000 associates, in 600 stores across five states.  Building on a foundation of Wawa's strong core values and company culture, the Fit to Fly wellness program took flight. When you're Fit to Fly, you're passionate about living the healthiest lifestyle possible, and inspired to lift and guide others to do the same.

When Wawa embarked on their wellness journey, they knew by giving employees permission to take charge of their health, it would result in engaged and empowered employees, increased productivity and lower healthcare costs.   Wawa will show how, with top leadership support, you too can build a program that engages employees throughout the organization and produces inspired results.
