The Case for Low
Volatility Pension (LVP) Plan
Many companies have been moving away from defined benefit
pension plans to reduce the company’s risk of large and volatile
pension obligations. A Low Volatility Pension (LVP) Plan gives
employers a new defined benefit option with the benefits of low
financial volatility for the sponsor and economic security for
the participant. Jeff Passmore from Buck Consultants will
provide an overview of how a Low Volatility Pension Plan works
and the investment strategy that sponsors can use to secure the
benefits promise. Jeff will also discuss some recent case
studies for sponsors who have adopted the LVP.
