Meet the Experts: How Employers can Collaborate to Achieve Health Benefits Value

The Greater Philadelphia Business Coalition on Health was launched recently with the mission of “representing the employer community in working with health plans, health care providers, and other system stakeholders to improve the value of health benefit spending for its members, by improving healthcare quality and safety and reducing health care costs.”  The Coalition’s initiatives include: creating a public report card on provider quality and safety; developing value-based benefit designs to promote lipid and blood pressure control and smoking cessation;  and developing strategies to foster accessible, high-quality, affordable primary care in the Greater Philadelphia region.  Learn more about the Coalition’s work and how employer participation can bring about change, from its Executive Director and members at this interactive breakfast session.
