David Raymond is a real character. And for nearly 20 years, he performed as one that spawned an industry. In his development of the nationally-known sports mascot Phillie Phanatic, Raymond was hailed by baseball analyst Tim McCarver as the “best mascot in baseball.” The Phanatic performed for 2.5 million fans annually, and Raymond’s vision and skill created a revolution in the mascot industry.
