Description:
A world-renowned cultural institution in NYC is seeking an exceptionally capable Manager of Benefits for a workforce of 2200. This unique organization is looking for a person who can thrive in a collaborative, consensus oriented work environment. This person must be a tactical, hands-on person with a passion for solving problems and completing tasks, while also being able to be proactive in anticipating future needs and challenges. This position reports to and partners with the Associate Chief Human Resources Officer, to ensure that all benefit plans are designed and operate within the overall benefits strategy of the organization. The Manager of Benefits will work as a member of the benefits team delivering a high level of customer service, making presentations to staff, answering complex questions and ensuring that all processes and employee communications are direct, easy-to-understand and operating within the appropriate plan administration guidelines. The Manager will also be responsible for ensuring completion of year-end processes and for supervising and developing a small team. Experience and Skills: The Manager of Benefits will need to implement and execute effectively in a "hands-on" manner, while also being proactive at anticipating, identifying and solving issues related to benefits. This person will need to be a self-motivated, collaborative professional with deep benefits experience and expertise. Non-profit experience preferable
Qualifications:
5-10 years Benefits Mangement, BS in Business, Human Resources, or in a related field required; MS/MBA preferred
Additional Information:
Extensive knowledge of Federal, State & Local benefits law; Proficient use of Microsoft Office; Working knowledge of HRIS
